We're the team that makes sure your brand looks right everywhere.

Brand strategy sets the standard. We protect it in the real world — across every site, market, and touchpoint. 25 years of doing this, across 100+ countries, means we've seen the ways it goes wrong. And we've built everything we do around preventing that.

Our founding principle

The brief is always the same:
protect the brand in the real world.
Get it right in Munich and Mumbai and Miami.
Don't let implementation undo design.

Our story

GLIMMA was established with a clear purpose: to make brand implementation more connected, consistent and manageable.

2000

GLIMMA was founded in December 2000 by Jonny Hawkins (Duramark, UK) and Christophe Renard (MegaMark, France), who ran established graphics manufacturing and installation businesses in their own countries.

Working across borders, they identified a recurring problem: brand owners would approve design, but by the time it reached local subsidiaries, agencies and installers, the result rarely matched — wrong logos, wrong colors, wrong materials, programs left unmonitored. Valuable brands were being diluted between approval and delivery.

2006

The direct-to-brand model was tested in 2006, starting with Selecta: rebranding their European fleet of service and merchandising vehicles, alongside their vending machine network.

Post 2006

That experience shaped a shift in strategy: direct-to-brand sales combined with licensed relationships with local country graphics companies, known as Gold Partners, across selected European countries. The network began in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the Nordics and Italy, then expanded to Hungary and Spain.

That approach became the structure GLIMMA still runs on today: a network of licensed local partners, each bringing local knowledge, language, production and installation, with programs coordinated centrally.

Today

GLIMMA’s network of partners is now truly global, and the model has grown well beyond production and installation. It now also includes strategy and design, full program management, asset visibility and governance.

What hasn’t changed is GLIMMA’s commitment to making brand implementation more connected, consistent and manageable, so brands look like themselves, everywhere they show up.

What we believe

Three things we won't compromise on.

The brief isn't done until it's built

Strategy and design are only as good as their execution. We've seen what happens when implementation is treated as an afterthought — inconsistency, cost overruns and brand standards that erode site by site. Closing the gap between design intent and real-world delivery is the entire point of what we do. Not a service line. The mission.

Site 247 matters as much as site 1

Anyone can make the flagship look right. The test of global brand implementation is whether the 200th location in the 14th country looks as good as the first. That requires governance, not just good intentions. It requires a system — audit, production, rollout, maintenance — that doesn't get tired or inconsistent at scale. Building that system is what we've spent 25 years doing.

No surprises is a deliverable

Brand implementation programs are complex, high-stakes, and clearly visible inside organizations. A CMO whose rebrand is running over time or budget doesn't just have an operational problem, they have a personal credibility problem. We treat visibility and communication as core to the work, not extras. Clients should never have to wonder if the project is on track and within budget.
