BrandEye integration

Volvo wanted to evolve its dealership signage programme to improve consistency, efficiency and visibility across a growing global network. As the programme expanded, managing assets, costs and delivery across different markets became increasingly complex.

The programme covered three distinct sub-brands, Volvo, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Penta, so the new approach needed to accommodate different brand requirements while providing a consistent framework for dealerships worldwide.

GLIMMA developed a multi-layered solution combining creative design, technical engineering and digital infrastructure, bringing the signage system together with a centralised platform for procurement, control and visibility.

GLIMMA delivered a scalable, digitally enabled signage and procurement system designed to support consistent brand implementation across Volvo’s global dealership network.

The challenge

Signage without visibility

Volvo needed to transform its dealership signage programme to improve consistency, efficiency and control across a global network.

Existing processes lacked visibility, making it difficult to manage assets, costs and delivery across multiple markets.

The challenge was to move beyond traditional signage delivery and create a system that integrates design, engineering and procurement into a single, scalable model spanning the Volvo, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Penta sub-brands.

The approach

Design, engineering and procurement in one system.

GLIMMA developed a multi-layered solution combining creative design, technical engineering and digital infrastructure.

The focus was on aligning signage systems with a centralised platform, so control and visibility came from the same place the ordering did.

Signage procurement at Volvo’s scale breaks down when design, engineering and ordering live in separate systems.

The solution

A signage system,
not a signage order.

Four phone screens showing the digital asset library, an item's specification, and an AR view of signage held up against a building.

GLIMMA delivered signage concept development and engineering, prototyping and validation, delivery network optimisation, BrandEye integration for tracking and management, and budget modelling and rollout planning. Prototypes proved the engineering before it was committed; the optimised delivery network took cost and time out of getting product to market; and BrandEye gave the whole programme one place where assets, costs and progress could be seen.

07

Budget and rollout planning

Cost modelled and deployment sequenced market by market.

Prototyping and validation put the engineering in front of a real installation before the network committed to it.

BrandEye integration gave Volvo a single view of assets, costs and delivery across every market it operates in.

The impact

A managed system,
not a one-off delivery.

The programme improved efficiency, consistency and visibility across Volvo’s global network.

GLIMMA transformed signage into a managed, scalable operational system rather than a one-off delivery exercise, giving Volvo the same kind of ongoing visibility BrandEye provides other global fleet and estate clients.

With design, engineering and procurement in one model, cost and delivery became things Volvo could see and manage per market rather than reconstruct after the fact.

Why us?

One operational model beats three systems

Signage procurement at Volvo’s scale breaks down when design, engineering and ordering live in separate systems.

GLIMMA’s integration of all three, backed by BrandEye tracking, gave Volvo a single operational model instead of a fragmented supply chain, with the visibility to manage cost and delivery across every market.

GLIMMA continues to support Volvo Group in scaling its signage and procurement system across its global dealer network.
