The Challenge

When FedEx came to GLIMMA they had a common challenge – Achieving consistent branding across their vehicle fleet.
The key to success for this programme was to consistently manage each element; brand, images, designs, materials, manufacturing and application to ensure consistent, cost effective branding and durability across the fleet of vehicles.
To add to the complexity, the programme was to be carried out during winter and FedEx wanted to minimise down time for the vehicles which meant the application had to be carried out at night.
The Solution
Working with FedEx's existing, approved suppliers, GLIMMA put in place a central programme office to ensure that critical time, quality and cost objectives were consistently achieved across the programme.
Also critical to the programme's success was the management of 40 depots to insure that the implementation was isolated from the rain, snow and freezing temperatures of northern European winter.
The Benefits
Over 2,500 vehicles were rebranded over an 8 month period with minimal operational impact. All the graphic materials were fitted to the highest standards ensuring that despite being applied to operational vehicles brand standards were maintained and the durability of the finish product was maximised.
