Fast rebrand for international fashion retail store

Dior

The Challenge

When Dior came to GLIMMA they presented the interesting challenge of delivering a retail store refit project in the Far East in just ten days, for the store opening on Orchard Road in Singapore. And, as the call came late on a Friday, it meant the project team would need to get the programme off the ground, over the weekend.

GLIMMA's mantra is "Centrally managed and locally delivered." This requirement was going to put that approach to the test.

The Solution

Window graphcis for Dior flagship store in SingaporeThe work to create the graphics files and documentation was immediately initiated at GLIMMA's Paris office and the project management team was briefed in Shanghai. By Monday morning, Dior had received the site surveys from the GLIMMA team with the visuals following just 24 hours later.

GLIMMA's close relationship with key suppliers ensured the required materials were supplied from Indonesia for urgent delivery to the graphics production facility in Singapore. The graphics were created at the end of the week for installation the following Monday, just in time for the store to open on the Tuesday morning – only ten days from the initial phone-call.

The Benefits

Opening a new store is always stressful and finding key suppliers at short notice doesn't help. The outcome of this project really proves the approach that GLIMMA takes to international rollouts – "Centrally managed and locally delivered" – really works even when timescales are short, distances are great and logistics challenging.
